The Best Flower Shops in Edmonton

Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, funeral, wedding or simply an expression of passion, a professional florist can create an arrangement that would, no doubt, satisfy any receiver. Fortunately, Edmonton offers a vast selection of flower shops. In fact, it was quite challenging to select the best ones. However, what ended up on the list of the best flower shops in Edmonton followed a few criteria. Those shops, first of all, are focused on working with every client, creating a bouquet based on individual vision, budgeting and events. Secondly, they all offer many options including traditional arrangements as well as modern designs.

Flowers, as an expression of sentiments, never fail. Victorians went as far as believing that every flower has a certain meaning behind it, and a given bouquet could say more than words. Those included sympathy, affection, friendship and even dissatisfaction. Frankly, not much has changed in the modern age. Although we do not study flower language anymore, and pick bouquets more by their looks, flowers are still a classic way to make a statement.

Why trust us

We are positive you will find a floral shop that would become your favourite, or at least would deliver outstanding service and floral arrangements for your special event. That is why choosing the best flower shops in Edmonton, we based our choices on a few factors.

The first one is the rating. Each selected flower shop earned at least 4.5 stars on Google and hundreds of positive reviews. Reading those reviews, we could find out all pros and cons of each studio and store. That is when sincere reviews from new and regular customers become useful and trustworthy.

The second factor is location. We made sure to cover up areas throughout the city, not only the downtown. While a few of those shops do not offer much parking space, majority of them include customer parking for your convenience.

Third one is the opinion of other buying guides such as Three Best Rated and Best in Edmonton.

Graham and Lane Florists

Graham and Lane Florists have been around Edmonton for over forty years, which is the best indication of customers’ loyalty and satisfaction. Through the last four decades, they offered a vast selection of floral arrangements, English garden baskets, tropical arrangements and customized designs. Speaking of designs, Graham and Lane are known for their unique approach to each bouquet, be it for a special occasion of personal sentiment.

A satisfied receiver of a bouquet mentioned that she never gets disappointed by the beautiful arrangements her husband gets from Graham and Lane Florists. They come beautifully arranged, with colourful and wonderful textures, she added.

As the owners say, “We aim to create flower arrangements that are not of the same variety of cookie cutter styles and want to assist you in creating a flower assortment that will reflect your own personal intentions, feelings, and meanings.” You can easily notice the proof of such a statement in the combination of colours, scents and meanings behind each flower, where they all are arranged by talented florists.

Of course, for your convenience, Graham and Lane offer flower delivery to many parts of Edmonton. (Within Edmonton— $15.95, Sherwood Park and St. Albert— $16.95.) To add more about convenience, the shop is located inside the city center mall which is especially useful if you are heading to a special event and need to grab a bouquet right after work.

Studio Bloom

Studio Bloom is exactly what it sounds like, a studio where floral design as a form of artistic expression happens day after day. The shop is located in the 124 Street shopping district, and just like the street, the inside of the store is also bustling with colours, seasonal blooms, scents and flowers of many kinds from elegant ones to simple.

But, despite how lovely the store might look, it is an online service many customers appreciate. Someone who wanted to send flowers to their mom, noted that the online ordering process was very easy. He loved the option of choosing exactly what his mom wanted. He mentioned that he is always a tad skeptical when ordering flowers without visiting the shop. But with the thorough ordering form and the other good reviews, he figured the order was in good hands. The flowers his mom received exceeded any expectations.

Many others are in amazement by the incredible aesthetic eye of the florist and the selection of flowers to choose from.

Most importantly we wanted to mention this shop as one of the best ones to order wedding arrangements. A satisfied bride testified that from the moment she started the consultation, Rosella (the florist) was quick to listen to and grasp her inspiration for a wedding bouquet. Once she realized her ideal bouquet was way out of budget, Rosella was able to make suggestions for alternative flowers that were cheaper but still kept a bride’s bouquet looking how she originally envisioned it. Her suggestions cut the quote in half! The florist was incredibly professional and wonderful to work with. At no point did she feel pressured or less of a client for lack of a budget, noted the bride.

Flowers By Merle

Another place that customers praise when it comes to ordering wedding floral arrangements is Flowers by Merle. As per a satisfied reviewer, they ordered wedding flowers and cannot express how wonderful they were. “Exceeded our expectations and honestly just delivered the highest quality flowers!”

However, we want to mention them for another reason, which is deliveries to hospitals, senior residences and funerals.

As they mention on the website, hospitals typically do not allow plants or strong-smelling flowers. Thus, Flowers by Merle recommend you first contact the office to check if they allow delivery, and then the shop could assist you with choosing the right blooms.

The professionalism of florists that work at Flowers by Merle has been proven for the last 54 years. Since the shop first opened, they were known for their positive attitude toward customers and artistic approach to designing each bouquet. Besides bouquets, they also offer plants, gift baskets, and cards.

As for funeral orders, Flowers by Merle suggests you place your order at least two days in advance for guaranteed delivery.

Laurel’s On Whyte

Whyte Ave is a busy area, especially during warm seasons. If you head there to shop on a weekend, (including the farmers’ market), do not disregard a charming little flower shop on 104th street.

Laurel’s on Whyte is another long-established business that has operated for the last 25 years. (They have been voted Best Florist in Edmonton since 2013.)

It is an ideal place to shop not only for bouquets, but also gifts. The shop is stocked up with plants, jewelry, home décor, and luxury bath and body products.

Besides gifts, plants and flowers, Laurel’s on Whyte offers wedding arrangements. A satisfied bride noted that she loved her wedding flowers and got so many compliments on them. Lovella Floral Studio

Although Lovella is more of a creative floral studio, we decided to add it to the list simply because of variations of trendy arrangements you do not often find in conventional flower stores. Angela, the owner and designer says that “Our lifestyle brand is an expression of two of the five languages of love: ‘gifting’ and ‘words of affirmation.”

As a satisfied customer noted, Lovella is her favourite flower shop in Edmonton. The arrangements are unlike anything else you can find in the city. The attention to detail is incredible. She purchased many arrangements and bouquets from Lovella and was happy with all of them. Angela (the florist) has a way of making everything look like a piece of art. Truly breathtaking.

You (or a special receiver) will be pleased with an elegant, yet trendy bouquet from Lovella. They deliver only Insta-worthy arrangements to put in a vase to brighten up your day and a living room.

Another customer noted that she has ordered several arrangements from Lovella including a subscription service for her sister. Every single time the blooms have been immaculate, the style so elegant, yet unique and modern.
