This wax combines natural carnauba wax and protective polymers for a strong, long lasting wax that carries that glossy lustre of carnauba with long lasting protection, with conditioners that nourish and enrich your car’s paintjob for an impeccable finish.  

This wax is applied easily by hand or by polisher and includes a foam applicator to help you apply a thin coat. Application and removal for this wax are simple, which is a huge benefit of this wax paste over other similar products.  This wax is hydrophobic, with great beading, so you can enjoy protection for elements for months.  

Users are very happy with the beautiful shine, ease of application, and relatively long-lasting durability of Meguiar’s Gold Class. Users also really like how this wax gives their vehicle’s paint look darker and shinier with an almost-wet look.

This spray on wax is unique due to its mainly Carnauba wax formula, which provides the deep, glossy shine many waxes try to provide.  

This wax is applicable via spray, for ease and precision. After washing and rinsing, this wax can easily spray on and wipes off with a towel for quick application. The lubricants within the spray help cleans as you apply, so you are left with a spotless, sparkling car.  

Users were happy with the shine and ease of application of Griot’s Garage Spray wax when using it as an enhancer for a prior applied wax. Some users found issues with the product hazing, smearing and taking too long to dry – however, many of these issues might be due to human error, not necessarily the product itself. We recommend using less than you would expect you need to use; you can always add more, but too much will give you issues during the process.

This synthetic silver wax is specially formulated to create deep reflections and a glossy finish that increases the shine of darker colors. Meguiar’s also offers a wax in white for light-coloured vehicles.  

Meguiar’s Black Wax goes on easily by hand or machine and buffs out easily, for a product anyone can use. The common trade-off of easy-on-easy-off waxes tends to be their durability, and this remains true with Meguiar’s Black Wax. However, once applied, users found scratches, swirls and other flaws in their car’s paint job disappear.  

Users found this wax bringing out the beauty in their black vehicles. Even first-time waxers found this wax was easy to work with. The main complaint was the durability this wax provided: while this wax lasted weeks in good conditions, some users found that one Canadian rainfall was enough to wash off the protective layer off their vehicle. Despite this flaw, if you want to give your darker car a show room shine, it is worth investing in Meguiar’s Black Wax.  

While some Carnauba wax formulations look amazing, the weather and repeated washes may dull that shine of your car – and thus, that of your smile. If you want long lasting protection and shine in a car wax, our recommendation is the Collinite 845 Insulator Wax.  

No. 845 is one of the most heavy-duty, industrial grade waxes available – this wax is used from automotive and RV uses to aeronautical industries. Despite its heavy-duty usages, this wax makes vehicles shine like Carnauba, especially white vehicles.  

No. 845 is an easy on and off formula that can go on by hand. Once the wax is applied and removed, you will see fantastic results right away. This wax is long lasting and provides high-quality water protection with superior beading results months down the line. This wax leaves your car with an incredible shine, that makes light colored and white vehicles shine radiantly, but works well for vehicles of all colours.  

Overall, users found using Collinite No. 845 easy and rewarding, with many users very happy with the shine this car provided. This auto wax provides excellent durability when used as a finishing wax, however we were unable to find any users who used this as a first layer wax instead, so we assume that the product is not ideal for that purpose. Some users found the product pricy, but since you can get many uses out of a bottle, Collinite No. 845 seems like a great way for users to get that Carnauba shine from their vehicles.  

The namesake of this wax comes from the smoothness of this Carnauba-based wax’s application – just like butter. If you are looking for an easy-on-easy-off car wax with a deep shine that only Carnauba can provide, then Chemical Guy’s WAC_201_16 Butter Wet Wax is an excellent choice.  

This wet wax is derived from Brazilian carnauba wax with a formulated blend of resins and polymers for a car wax that is easier to apply and yet still provides superior shine out of your paint. 

The Butter Wet Wax can either be applied by hand or machine for superior performance and appearance. With Butter Wet wax, waxing your vehicle does not have to take all day, even by hand, as this wax melts into your paintjob as you work it in, and once taken off, leaves an impressive shine that can last months. Water beads right off your finish, and the added UV protection keeps your car safe from the sun. This wax works with any type and color of paint – giving black cars a deep luster and white vehicles a bright glow and benefitting every colour in between.  

Users loved the shine this pure carnauba formulation gave their vehicles. Users also found the application process easy. Some users had varied results with longevity, with some seeing protection from the elements for weeks afterwards, and others found the wax washing off after only a few rainfalls or washes. Like any wax, the mileage you get from your car wax depends on what you put your vehicle through, but if you need longevity from your car wax, you might need to look elsewhere. Don’t let the name fool you! Nu Finish Liquid Car Polish functions like a car wax would, providing protection and shine to your vehicle. If you are looking for an easy-on waxing solution that will last you, Nu Finish liquid Car Polish is the inexpensive solution.  

Nu Finish Liquid Polish is a completely synthetic formulation of silicone polymers that provide lasting protection to the elements. While Nu Finish has both a liquid and a paste formulation of their car polish, their liquid formulation seems to apply more easily by hand and wipes off effortlessly.  Once applied, Nu Finish lasts a long time – Nu Finish themselves claim using their product provides protection for up to a year. While we think this claim is on the hyperbolic side, users agree that this polish is durable.  

Users like the Nu Finish Liquid Polish for its ease of application and long-lasting results. Many users find that one application can give them a season’s worth of protection, which says a lot for Canada’s spring and winters. One negative that users pointed out is that this polish only works well on metal, and on plastic surfaces it could leave stains. Another comment is that this product does not leave cars with the desirable “wet” wax look, however you could combine this polish with a Carnauba wax for that showroom shine. 

Some vehicles will not see the same bright, glossy results from just a car wax: in these situations, a car polish is more important for removing oxidation and surface scratches from your car’s paintjob. If you are looking for an easy one-step-polish, our recommendation is Adam’s One Step Polish.  

Adam’s One Step Polish is made from a unique blend of polishing agents with diminishing abrasives that grind into a finer polish perfect for cutting paint scratches, oxidation and other unsightly marks. Adam’s One-Step-Polish is safe on clear coat, single stage and lacquer paints. The low dust formula of this polish makes clean up afterwards as easy as cleaning up your vehicle’s paint job.  

Just apply a few drops of polish onto an applicator pad, spread the polish into the area you wish to polish, and thoroughly work the product into that surface, either by hand or machine. Just wipe down with a microfibre towel and you should be greeted by what looks like a fresh coat of paint.  

Users find working with Adam’s One Step Polish easy, and afterwards their vehicle looked like new. One thing users reported was that this polish is not aggressive enough for deep scratches and heavy duty tasks – but we got another polish on this list for those tasks.

While the polishing & waxing might be a solid way to hide or cover over shallow scratches, a typical wax might do more to extenuate your deepest scratches than hide them. This product is versatile as a hand polish or cutting compound applied by machine. Just a few drops of this abrasive compound on a polishing pad and you can get to work buffing out unsightly scratches or taking on bigger jobs, like stripping paint for repainting jobs. This compound also works as a quality polisher when combined with a finishing pad.  

Users find working with the 3D One easy, making cars look newer just like that. However, some users have noted that this solution is thinner which means it is a better polisher overall than cutter. Heavier scratches may pose difficult for this cutter, in other words.
